José Carlos Grossi, a native of Monte Sião, MG, is a poet and columnist. His first book "Silenciados" was published in 1981 and, since then, he has accumulated awards in national competitions. His most recent work, "A Cor das Sombras", explores magical realism. He also navigates children's literature, his latest creation, "A Borboleta Teimosa", was released by Chiado in Portugal. Currently, in addition to giving lectures at schools, he works as a writer and illustrator for the newspaper in his city. His Editora Acervo publishes handmade books for new writers.
